🍀 March 22|A 2nd Sweet Sunday at Pan Pacific

This Sunday morning, Lucky Baker returned to Pan Pacific for another cookie pop-up. We set up our booth around 11:00 AM, bringing a small batch of freshly baked cookies:

  • Banana Peanut Butter (Vegan & gluten-free, a rising star)

  • Vanilla (simple and creamy)

  • Chocolate Chip (Chocolate lover’s favorite)

Each cookie was baked fresh and packed carefully in our signature Lucky Baker boxes.

The weather was cool and slightly foggy, with soft sunshine filtering through the clouds. It turned out to be a perfect noon for a walk in the park — and for cookies.

A Surprise Favorite: Vanilla

One of the biggest surprises of the day was the Vanilla cookie.

Vanilla sold out first.

Many people assume chocolate chip will always be the favorite, but our soft vanilla cookies — lightly dusted with powdered sugar — caught the attention of many visitors today.

Chocolate chip came second, while the Banana Peanut Butter cookies sold steadily throughout the afternoon.

By 1:36 PM, we officially sold out all boxes.

Selling out always feels special, but what made this day truly memorable was the community around the park.

A Small Act of Kindness

Last week, a wonderful customer purchased three boxes of cookies and suggested that we try vending on Sunday mornings, when many lovely families gather at the basketball courts.

This Sunday, she returned.

She encouraged us to bring some samples to share with her friends while their kids were playing basketball. We happily shared cookies with the group, and later one of the couples came back to our booth and purchased a box of chocolate chip cookies. They also followed us on Instagram and even posted a photo of the cookies with a kind recommendation.

Later that afternoon, the same customer came back again and bought two more boxes to support us.

She told us something that really stayed with us:

“When I started my own business, nobody helped me. When I see someone building something, I want to support them.”

Moments like this remind us that small businesses grow not just through sales, but through community support and genuine connections.

New Friends at the Park

Throughout the afternoon we also met:

• Two beautiful photographers who loved the cookies and followed us on instagram
• Several dog walkers stopping by with their curious pups
• Cookies lovers who go straight to buy without even sampling
• Families enjoying the park on a relaxed Sunday

Pan Pacific Park has slowly become a place where Lucky Baker meets new friends every week.

Building Lucky Baker One Cookie at a Time

Every pop-up is a small step forward.

Some people stop for a sample.
Some return later for a box.
Some share our cookies with friends.

And sometimes someone simply offers encouragement that keeps us going.

As a small local home bakery in Los Angeles, our goal is simple:

Bake high-quality cookies and share a little bit of happiness with the community.

We’re grateful to everyone who stopped by this Sunday.

And if you happen to see the Lucky Baker tent at the park again, feel free to stop by and say hello.

There might just be a fresh cookie waiting for you.

With Gratitude,

Lucky Baker🍀
