ā˜€ļø A Thoughtful Afternoon at Pan Pacific Park

Feb 7 marked my third time vending at the Park, and it was another gentle reminder of why I started Lucky Baker in the first place: to bake cookies that feel comforting, intentional, and quietly memorable.

We arrived at the park around 2:00 p.m. and finished setting up the booth by 2:20pm. The early part of the afternoon was lively. Within the first hour and a half, people stopped by to sample, ask questions, and share their thoughts. What I always enjoy most isn’t just the selling, but the conversations that naturally unfold over a warm cookie.

One comment stayed with me in particular. A beautiful lady tasted our cookie, paused, and smiled.

ā€œIt’s not that sweet,ā€ she said.

That was very intentional. Lucky Baker cookies are reduced-sugar by design. I want them to be balanced rather than overpowering. Less sugar allows the flavors to come through more clearly, and many people that afternoon noticed and appreciated the difference compared to traditional cookies.

Several visitors were also curious about what goes into our cookies. While I keep my exact recipes close to my heart, I’m always happy to share at a high level. We use high-quality ingredients such as carefully selected butter, milk, cream cheese, flours and sugars. Our cookies are made fresh in small batches, never mass-produced, with intention, practice, and care in every step.

One especially touching moment came from a very elegant couple who had been strolling through the park. They stopped by to sample the cookies, took their time, and genuinely enjoyed them. After tasting, the elegant gentleman offered a thoughtful piece of advice, suggesting that I consider events like the big fair in Pomona as a way to increase publicity. It meant a great deal to receive encouragement not only for the cookies, but also for the long-term growth of Lucky Baker.

Later in the afternoon, a group of three adults stopped by together. Each of them tasted the cookies, enjoyed them, and purchased a box to share. Moments like this remind me that cookies are not just treats. They’re something meant to be shared, talked about, and enjoyed together.

By late afternoon, the park became quieter, and we wrapped up around 5:00 p.m. While sales slowed toward the end of the day, the experience was filled with meaningful interactions, thoughtful feedback, and genuine interest.

Every vending day teaches me something new. Not just about timing or setup, but about people and what truly resonates. I’m grateful to everyone who stopped by, sampled our cookies, asked questions, and shared their thoughts. Lucky Baker continues to grow one small batch at a time, and I’m thankful to have you along for the journey.

🌱 Building Lucky Baker, One Day at a Time

With each vending day, we continue to make small, thoughtful improvements. This time, we upgraded to a larger tent, giving us more space to create a comfortable and welcoming setup for visitors. We also expanded our offerings by introducing three drink options—Pepsi, Mountain Dew Lime, and Brisk Iced Tea—so customers could enjoy a refreshing beverage alongside their cookies. These small changes are part of our ongoing effort to enhance the experience while staying true to what Lucky Baker stands for: quality, care, and steady growth.

Thank you for continuing to be here and for supporting small, local businesses.

With gratitude,
