š February 28 | Sunshine, Slow Traffic, Sweet Moments
We closed out February with another warm Saturday at Pan Pacific Park and the sun definitely understood the assignment. By noon, it felt close to 90°F. The kind of heat that makes chocolate chip cookies even softer and bakers slightly toastier.
We arrived early at 9:08 AM and had our booth ready by 9:30. Early setup always feels powerful. Calm park. Fresh air. The park was noticeably quieter than usual. Fewer picnic blankets. More open grass. Plenty of parking. A softer pace.
šŖ This Weekās Flavors
Chocolate Chip
Banana Peanut Butter
Marshmallow
Banana Peanut Butter surprised us by selling out first. Chocolate Chip remained steady as always. Marshmallow took its time but still found its cookie lovers before we packed up around 12:50 PM.
š¾ Dogs on Patrol
All morning, dogs strolled by ā big ones, small ones, fluffy ones, serious ones.
At one point, a striking husky walked past our booth like a park security officer on inspection duty. Tail high. Tongue out. Focused. The kind of presence that makes everyone turn their head.
It truly felt like many dogs were āpatrollingā around us, checking in, approving the setup, and drawing their humans closer to the cookies. Our booth might need a new sign: Lucky Baker ā Dog-Approved Since 2026.
Also, thinking of offering Pupās cup for the lovely dog friends.
šæ Community Moments
One conversation began with a simple question about whether our cookies were kosher. That question opened a thoughtful exchange about Shabbat, the Jewish day of rest, and the traditions behind kosher dietary guidelines. It was a gentle reminder that food carries culture, history, and belief within it.
Nearby, a church brotherās group warmly welcomed us and even shared a hot dog. Later, volunteers cleaning the park offered a water bowl and trash bags for our little dog. We shared cookies in return.
On a quieter Saturday, we found ourselves surrounded by different traditions, small kindnesses, and meaningful exchanges ā all within a few steps of our cookie table.
š Closing February
Not every pop-up is crowded.
Not every Saturday is fast.
But every Saturday teaches us something.
Sunshine. Slow traffic. Dogs on patrol. Cultural conversations. Shared food.
Lucky Baker continues to grow ā one park day, one cookie, one connection at a time.
With Gratitude,
Lucky Baker š
